Professional Experience:

Mr. Strittmatter devotes his entire practice to the defense of workers' compensation matters on behalf of insurance carriers, self-insured entities and third-party administrators.  Some of his significant achievements in 2004 include:

• Prevailed on appeal to Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court on behalf of a security firm whose employee had sudden onset of peroneal tendon rupture to gain reinstatement of denial of a claim by the Workers' compensation Judge due to lack of unequivocal medical evidence for otherwise obvious work-related injury;

• Prevailed on claim for disfigurement benefits appealed to Commonwealth Court when benefits were sought after execution of a Compromise and Release Agreement which did not explicitly specify closure of disfigurement claim for cervical microdiscectomy scar;

• Obtained in excess of $50,000 in Supersedeas Fund reimbursement for clients in 2004.

Mr. Strittmatter represents a broad corporate client base in a variety of matters, including general commercial disputes, products liability, premises liability, insurance coverage, mass tort and toxic tort litigation. He handles all facets of litigation including client consultation, development of case strategy and management, all phases of discovery, motion practice, oral argument, settlement negotiations, court conferences, mediation, arbitration and trial.

In 2006, Mr. Strittmatter was recognized by the publishers of Philadelphia magazine and the Pennsylvania edition of Super Lawyers magazine as a "Rising Star," an honor given to the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in the Commonwealth who are 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less.  Mr. Strittmatter was named in the “Workers' Compensation” practice area.
