December 12, 2006 : Peter J. Weber Receives Philadelphia Bar Association Award

Peter J. Weber, a partner in the Philadelphia office of Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby LLP, received the Philadelphia Bar Association's Workers' Compensation Section's Seventh Annual Martha J. Hampton Award at its annual meeting and reception December 5, 2006 at the Pyramid Club.  The award is presented to the compensation attorney or judge who best exemplifies Hampton’s commitment to the profession while maintaining a unique and close personal relationship with members of the bar and bench.

Mr. Weber has served as co-chair of the Workers' Compensation Section and remains an active member of the Section’s Rules Committee.  He is co-author of Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s Workers' Compensation Practice and Procedure Manual and he authored the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Annual Survey of Recent Developments in Workers’ Compensation Law.  Mr. Weber has organized courses and has been a lecturer at Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he taught Workers’ Compensation Practice and Procedure.  He has been recognized throughout the state for his contributions to the profession.
