July 23, 2004 : David J. Rosenberg Named to IADC Trial Academy Faculty
David J. Rosenberg, a partner in the Pittsburgh office of Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby LLP, has been selected to serve as a faculty member for the 33rd Annual International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy being held from July 30 to August 5, 2005 at Stanford Law School in Stanford, California.
Rosenberg was named to the faculty based on his success and experience as a trial attorney. The 2005 Trial Academy marks the program’s 33rd year and is attended by approximately 100 attorneys looking to enhance their trial advocacy skills. Attendees are instructed in trial techniques by a faculty of seasoned trial attorneys, themselves appointed members of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC). The IADC is an international organization of attorneys representing corporations and insurers.
Considered a trial “boot camp,†the Trial Academy helps guide students through the intricacies of a trial. Students have the opportunity to witness faculty demonstrations and are then critiqued by faculty members as they practice opening statements, direct and cross examinations of witnesses and experts, and closing statements.
Rosenberg, who is admitted to the Pennsylvania and West Virginia Bars, concentrates his legal practice in the areas of tort litigation, subrogation, insurance coverage and bad faith, and commercial litigation. He serves as a Vice Chair of the IADC’s Casualty Insurance and Property Insurance Committees and is a member of the National Association of Subrogation Professionals.
