Michael S. Savett, an associate in the law firm of Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby LLP, has authored an article titled “Insurers Responsible for Advancing Adelphia and Tyco Executives’ Legal Fees,” published in the June 2004 issue of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society Journal.
The article provides an analysis of recent court decisions requiring insurers to pay defense costs of corporate officers accused of looting their companies for hundreds of millions of dollars even where the insurance coverage allegedly was procured by fraud.
Savett, who is a Registered Professional Liability Underwriter, concentrates his legal practice on insurance coverage disputes and bad faith issues between policyholders and insurers.
