February 12, 2005 : Susan I. Schulman Confirmed as Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge

Susan I. Schulman, a former partner in the Philadelphia office of Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby LLP, has been confirmed by the Pennsylvania State Senate to serve as a judge for the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas.  Ms. Schulman's term will run through December 31, 2005.  She will be running for re-election in the May 2005 primary municipal election.

Ms. Schulman is a civil litigator with more than 20 years of trial experience in the areas of medical malpractice, product liability, complex tort litigation and commercial litigation.  She was appointed by Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell to serve as the Executive Director of the Governor’s Medical Malpractice Insurance Crisis Task Force in January 2003.
