July 19, 2007 : Weber Gallagher Adds Three Associates
Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires and Newby LLP announces the hiring of associates Stephanie V. Shreibman and Jason M. O’Malley, who join the firm’s Medical Professional Liability practice group, and Lori Herman, who joins the Workers’ Compensation department.
Ms. Shreibman, who is resident in the Philadelphia office, concentrates on defending medical malpractice suits and advising physicians, practice groups and hospitals on healthcare-related legal issues. Prior to joining Weber Gallagher, Ms. Shreibman was an associate with a Philadelphia law firm and worked several years as the Senior Claims Manager for a large local health system, handling its medical malpractice claims and suits.
Mr. O’Malley, who works in the firm’s Scranton office, focuses his practice on representing physicians and other health care professionals in medical malpractice litigation. Mr. O’Malley is a former Assistant District Attorney in the drug unit of the Lackawanna County District Attorney’s Office. He also served as a law clerk to the Hon. Michael J. Barrasse of the Lackawanna County Court of Common Pleas.
Ms. Herman devotes her practice to the defense of workers' compensation matters on behalf of insurance carriers, self-insured entities and third party administrators and is based in Philadelphia. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Herman defended insurance companies in matters involving commercial vehicles, premises liability and occupational disease. She was also a clerk to the Hon. Doris A. Smith-Ribner of the Commonwealth Court and served as counsel for the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office, where she litigated matters before the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
