January 10, 2005 : Joseph Goldberg, Robert MacMahon and Tracy A. Walsh Join Philadelphia Office

Joseph Goldberg, Robert MacMahon and Tracy A. Walsh have joined Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby LLP as partners in the law firm's Philadelphia office.

Mr. Goldberg's practice comprises a range of areas, with extensive trial experience representing public and private entities and individuals in state and federal court.  His practice includes representing private employers, municipalities, religious institutions, commercial transportation companies and professionals, as well as public and private institutions of higher education in state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  Mr. Goldberg’s practice also includes all aspects of general civil litigation and includes civil rights, employment law, municipal liability, defense of sexual abuse and assault cases, commercial carriers (trucking and motorcoach) in catastrophic loss cases, psychiatric malpractice, medical malpractice, clergy malpractice, product liability and personal injury.  He is AV-rated by Martindale Hubbell and was voted a Pennsylvania "Super Lawyer" by Philadelphia Magazine in 2004. 

Mr. Goldberg graduated from Ohio University summa cum laude in 1972 and earned a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law in 1975.  He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and the District of Columbia.

Mr. MacMahon specializes in all matters of general liability.  He is a 1985 graduate of Dickinson College and and 1988 graduate of Dickinson School of Law, where he was a member of the Corpus Juris Society.  Mr. MacMahon served as a law clerk to the Hon. Steven E. Levin of the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas from 1988 to 1990.  He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania.

Ms. Walsh specializes in employment law, municipal liability and civil rights litigation. She represents public and private employers, entities and individuals in all phases of litigation in the state and federal administrative agencies and courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Ms. Walsh also counsels employers in employment-related matters. She also defends liability claims on behalf of commercial carriers and business establishments in personal injury litigation.  She is a 1988 magna cum laude graduate of Pennsylvania State University and a 1991 graduate of Temple University School of Law.  Ms. Walsh is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Prior to joining the firm, Mssrs. Goldberg and MacMahon and Ms. Walsh were partners at Margolis Edelstein.
