November 12, 2007 : Dominick J. Georgetti Gains Defense Verdict
Scranton partner Dominick J. Georgetti obtained a defense verdict in a medical malpractice trial in Luzerne County, Pa. on behalf of an oncologist. The plaintiff's Estate alleged that the oncologist, among other medical professionals, failed to make proper recommendations to the decedent regarding the treatment of his bladder cancer. The patient, who was 55 years old, ultimately died from the bladder cancer. After a seven-day trial, the jury returned a unanimous verdict.
