February 19, 2011 : Richard S. Ranieri Prevails in Pennsylvania Superior Court of Appeals

Rick Ranieri was successful in getting the case dismissed with prejudice in Duckett v. Wawa, Inc.  The plaintiff had picked the forum to bring suit in based on forum non conveniens grounds and sued Wawa in Philadelphia State Court arguing that the corporate defendant had business contacts there. Rick filed a dismissal with prejudice motion which was granted at the trial court level and then upheld on appeal by the PA Superior Court. The appellate win reduced the potential jury verdict exposure in the case by 75%.
