Paul M. Fires, a partner in the Philadelphia office of Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby LLP, spoke before the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section meeting on Thursday, March 17, 2004 on the topic of the attempt of claimants’ attorneys to seek in excess of 20 percent in counsel fees.  The Workers’ Compensation Section was established in 1995 to address the specialized needs of lawyers practicing workers’ compensation law.  Mr. Fires concentrates his practice on the representation of employers in workers’ compensation matters.
