June 22, 2010 : Jeffrey D. Newby to Lead Workers' Compensation Seminar
Partner Jeffrey D. Newby will present at a teleconference titled "Investigating, Defending and Defeating Workers' Compensation Claims in New Jersey" on August 12, 2010.
This teleconference will discuss steps to properly investigate a questionable claim in order to document, prepare and produce the factual, medical and eventual legal defenses to a claim. Mr. Newby will discuss the strategy necessary to obtain the evidence in the initial hours and days after an alleged injury takes place, which will turn into the evidence necessary to defeat a claim months or years later in court. He will also review claims that are most frequently contested and have a discussion on how the evidence gathered can result in a defeated claim or claim that can be resolved with a significant discount. Examples of claims that were successfully defended including the facts, medical and legal arguments made will be reviewed to lay a foundation concerning how that process can be repeated.
