The Family Law practice group represents clients in all aspects of domestic relations matters, including divorce, custody and visitation, spousal and child support, alimony, adoption and property division.

Lawyers in the group negotiate and prepare pre-marital, post-marital, and separation agreements tailored to a client's specific circumstances. Our attorneys regularly analyze complex financial issues and work with accountants, appraisers and other professionals to evaluate assets such as businesses, licenses and practices.

Much of the practice involves divorces in which one or both parties are earning income. Many cases involve the division of houses, pensions and stock options. The group works with experts who perform business and professional practice valuations. Our attorneys counsel clients on innovative ways to settle disputes in an effort to minimize the emotional difficulty encountered in connection with this type of law including custody matters.

Whenever possible, the group recommends that separation and divorce issues be resolved by agreement; however, the lawyers provide legal representation concerning all relevant matters, including alimony, pension distribution, custody, property agreements and equitable settlements. The group's family law attorneys have extensive trial and appellate experience.
