The firm's Trusts, Estates and Wealth Planning practice group represents a variety of clients in all aspects of estate planning, trust and estate administration, and business succession planning. We are mindful of the sensitive nature of these personal matters which often involve complicated tax laws.

We understand the importance of listening to our clients' concerns, and we strive to develop a plan specifically tailored to achieve the clients' goals while minimizing exposure to taxes. Our services for individuals include:

- Preparing estate planning documents such as wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, trusts for children and grandchildren, asset protection trusts, powers of attorney and living wills
- Advising on estate, inheritance, generation-skipping and gift tax issues
- Assisting business owners and entrepreneurs in the development of a succession plan, which may include the creation of limited partnerships and limited liability companies, buy-sell agreements, employment agreements, and gifting programs for the transfer of business interests to family members
- Coordinating retirement benefits and life insurance policies with the estate plan
- Counseling on charitable gifting programs and the formation of charitable trusts

We also work closely with executors, trustees and beneficiaries in the administration of decedents' estates. Our services include:

- Assisting in the appointment of executors and administrators and preparing executors for probate of a will
- Preparation of estate and inheritance tax returns and fiduciary accountings
- Advising on post-mortem tax-planning strategies and elections
- Arranging for the distribution of assets to beneficiaries of the estate
