In her practice, Elizabeth represents employers in cases alleging discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, 42 U.S.C. §§ 1981 and 1983, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act (PHRA). She also handles matters under the Family Medical and Leave Act (FMLA).
Elizabeth’s practice also includes providing guidance to employers on matters including policies, FMLA and ADA compliance.
As a former Assistant City Solicitor for the Philadelphia Law Department, Labor & Employment Unit, Elizabeth has represented the City of Philadelphia and all its departments in various federal, state and administrative venues, including but not limited to the EEOC. She has worked with City department and union representatives to resolve claims and grievances, and has acted as conflict counsel for the Board of Pensions. Elizabeth has also represented the City of Philadelphia in matters involving commercial and private property violations of its maintenance, fire, and zoning codes.
