Neal is a seasoned insurance coverage and reinsurance attorney with over 45 years of experience. He specializes in representing national and international insurance clients in complex coverage disputes involving commercial business, property and casualty, accident & health, fidelity and a wide range of other lines. Using a combination of his creative thinking and extensive experience, Neal collaborates with his clients to develop unique strategies and insights for claims handling and coverage litigation. He maintains close relationships with arbitrators and opposing counsel, leveraging his industry expertise to produce effective and efficient results for his clients.

In addition to promoting early resolution of claims, Neal also engages in declaratory judgment litigation and ADR to manage larger problems that elude a quick solution. He works with underwriters to refine existing wordings and to draft new wordings that reflect emerging legal trends, statutory changes and market demands, and assists clients in product development and risk analysis.

Neal has been fortunate to represent clients in various jurisdictions throughout the United States and the U.S. Virgin Islands and Hawaii, where he is admitted to practice, in addition to Illinois and Ohio. 

On a personal note, Neal aspired as a young boy to become a major league pitcher with a record-breaking fastball. Although he fell short of his dream, he did clock an impressive 77 mph at the age of 16 while driving his father's Camaro in a 35-mph zone (which, as an older version of himself, he no longer recommends). He then shifted his focus to the music industry but turned down offers to tour with Pink, Shakira and Adele due to his mantra of "never trust anyone who goes by one name." That said, he privately admits he would take a call from Rihanna.
