Preeya defends private and public employers in all employment-related litigation matters throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Her experience includes handling cases involving wage loss, short-term disability, and long-term disability claims as well as subrogation claims. She has also previously handled motor vehicle collisions and premises liability matters.
In her practice, Preeya represents employers in cases alleging discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under different statutes including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, 42 U.S.C. §§ 1981 and 1983, Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Pennsylvania Human Relations Act (PHRA), New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (NJLAD). She also handles matters under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the Family Medical and Leave Act (FMLA).
Preeya has served as the lead attorney during bench trials and second chair at jury trials. She is experienced in leading mediations and pre-trial settlement conferences.
In law school, Preeya worked with the Veteran’s Law Clinic where she represented low-income, disabled veterans to maximize the amount of compensation received. Preeya also volunteered as an income tax assistant training Chester County teenagers to serve as jurors, judges, and attorneys, handling real-life cases involving their peers by coordinating mock and actual trials.
In 2022, Preeya was recognized by the publisher of the Pennsylvania edition of Super Lawyers magazine as a "Rising Star," an honor given to the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in the Commonwealth.
