  • Successfully obtained affirmation of a defense verdict before the Superior Court. In their appeal, the Plaintiff argued that the jury’s findings were against the weight of evidence and that the trial court had erred by not instructing the jury on alteration of medical records. The Superior Court rejected the Plaintiff’s weight of the evidence claims and held that a request for an adverse inference charge was unsupported.

  • Obtained dismissal of a large home builder in a hybrid commercial liability/wrongful death lawsuit, using affidavits to highlight weaknesses in the plaintiffs' theory of liability and undermine their expert's opinions.  

  • Obtained dismissal of a lawsuit on behalf of a surgeon client in a medical malpractice matter. This dismissal was affirmed by the Superior Court after briefing and oral argument.

  • Obtained a summary judgment and dismissal of a lawsuit on behalf of a physician client and her insurer, using a novel area of case law to effectuate the dismissal.

  • Successfully negotiated settlement of less than 10 percent of a plaintiff’s pre-arbitration demand after obtaining a favorable arbitration award on behalf of a large property management corporation.

  • Obtained a defense verdict at arbitration in a premises liability action on behalf of a national retail store.
