Samuel Hood Foreman Wins Jury Case Defending Pediatrician

Represented pediatrician sued for allegedly failing to properly consult with emergency room doctors at a local hospital, resulting in a life-threatening infection which caused significant, irreversible brain damage to the infant patient. The plaintiffs sought more than $38 million in damages. The defendant asserted the emergency department failed to inform him of key information which would have led to earlier and appropriate intervention.  Jury unanimously found in favor of the pediatrician.
