Weber Gallagher Partner Julie Kinkopf will speak to the Greater Valley Forge Human Resources Association on “The DOL (and FLSA): Enforcement Pirates – Are Employers Walking the Plank?” at a February 4 breakfast, beginning at 7:30 a.m. Jason Reisman, an Employment Partner at Blank Rome, will also be on the panel.
The discussion will cover wage and hour compliance, facing a Department of Labor (DOL) investigation, tracking “hours worked” and “off the clock work.” The speakers will provide insights about interacting with the DOL, new proposed regulations, wage and hour issues and how employers can minimize risk.
Kinkopf is a former General Counsel and firm attorney who represents companies in employment and general litigation matters, defends public and private employers in all areas of employment law and advises managers and business owners.
She represents clients in employment law including hiring, discipline, termination, leave management, wage and hour disputes, discrimination and retaliation issues, reductions in force and enforcement of non-competition agreements. She also drafts and reviews employee handbooks, personnel forms, employment contracts and severance agreements. She represents clients in government audits and investigations. Before starting her own firm in 2013 and spending three years at another Bala Cynwyd employment firm, Kinkopf was General Counsel to a large medical company with 21 locations in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Illinois.
