08.01.12

Workers' Compensation Judge David B. Torrey authored an article in the Spring 2012 Journal of the National Association of Administrative Law Judiciary titled "Master or Chancellor? The Workers’ Compensation Judge and Adjudicatory Power" in which Jeffrey D. Newby's experience with the Close v. Kordulak Bros., 44 N.J. 589, 599 (1965) opinion was referenced. Mr. Newby says that the opinion remains a “seminal case” on an issue addressed in Judge Torrey's article.

The Journal of the National Association of Administrative Law Judiciary is widely recognized as the finest and most scholarly publication focusing on developments affecting the administrative judiciary. The Journal is published semi-annually by Pepperdine University School of Law and distributed to members of the National Association of Administrative Law Judiciary (NAALJ). The NAALJ is the largest professional organization devoted exclusively to administrative adjudication for the executive branch of government.
