Philadelphia, PA – January 23, 2014 – Peter M. Harrison and Stephen T. Potako joined Weber Gallagher today as partners in the Workers’ Compensation Group. Both attorneys were principals in the Workers’ Compensation Department at another Philadelphia firm. Their clients include large healthcare companies, hospitals and significant multi-national corporations.

Harrison, who has devoted his practice to Pennsylvania workers’ compensation defense for more than 25 years, has successfully defended major healthcare systems, nursing homes, Fortune 500 manufacturing companies and insurance companies. He also wrote “A Guide to the Handling of Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation.” Harrison is a 1985 graduate of Temple University School of Law and a 1981 graduate of Hobart College.
Potako counsels insurers, employers and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters. He also litigates workers’ compensation cases throughout Pennsylvania. The Workers’ Compensation Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association gave Potako the Martha J. Hampton Memorial Award in 2002. He was the first defense counsel to receive the award demonstrating the appreciation and respect of his peers in the workers’ compensation bar. Potako is a 1982 graduate of Villanova University School of Law and a 1977 graduate of Lafayette College.
