Prevailed in a premises liability trial in the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas. The plaintiff alleged that she slipped and fell on allegedly defective stairs located outside of her rental property. We represented the owner of an adjacent home who shared the common stairway. The jury took less than an hour to deliberate and returned with a unanimous defense verdict.
Successfully appealed a case for a large public transit company in the Commonwealth Court. The Court ruled that if a trial court determines that there is a valid agreement to arbitrate and the dispute falls within the scope of the agreement, any dispute over the terms of the agreement must be handled by the arbitrator.
