Suzanne Utke (Philadelphia) taught at Thomas Jefferson University & Philadelphia University Physicians Assistant Programs twice this month, once at the Philadelphia, PA, campus and the other time at the Voorhees, NJ, campus. Suzanne presented a two-hour presentation titled “Medical Legal Ethics,” to 60 students at each campus. Topics covered include current trends in litigation, litigation prevention, current issues with social media and HIPAA breaches, the implication of gender identification and documentation, use of marijuana and the implications to the provision of healthcare for a patient, and ethical
issues for the impaired professional.
