Over the course of the last several weeks, there has been substantial movement on the part of all Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation stakeholders to keep our administrative system moving. Most importantly, this is being done safely, with technology, with creative workarounds and not in violation of any governmental orders. In addition to the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation cooperation, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf has signed Orders to relax statutory requirements. Our administrative system is not classified as a life-sustaining business, and it is remarkable that so much has been achieved safely. This distinguishes Pennsylvania from many other states. Below are some updates on what has been achieved in Pennsylvania and what can be done. All of these achievements are designed to move cases forward and serve the needs of everyone whose goal is to close files, win cases, reduce exposure or settle disputes.
With these developments in place, and with technology implementation, clients with a need to see their cases move forward, their exposure levels reduced and their metric goals satisfied will have that ability.
