New Jersey Division of Workers' Compensation Update

Please be advised that the New Jersey Division of Workers’ Compensation has issued the announcement below, which allows the parties the opportunity to have virtual hearings on matters. The method of hearing, either conference call or video, will be dictated by each Judge. Still, it gives us the opportunity for meaningful conferences in cases that are ripe for discussion. It also allows Judges to approve settlements via virtual testimony or affidavit.  We are requesting that the petitioner’s counsel be prepared for virtual testimony or an affidavit in the alternative. Courts are still closed but for these limited circumstances until April 13, 2020. We do not feel there is any guarantee they will be open in the traditional sense on that date either, but we will update you once we hear from the Division.
