New Jersey Senate Approves The Appointments Of Two Workers' Compensation Judges

On March 18, 2013, the New Jersey Senate approved the appointments of Russell Cherkos and Salvatore Martino as workers' compensation judges. Mr. Cherkos graduated from Seton Hall University Law School in 1980 and was admitted to the New Jersey bar in the same year. He is part of the law firm of Dasti, Murphy, McGucken, Ulaky, Cherkos & Connors located in Forked River. His practice concentrates in the areas of real estate, land-use regulation, municipal law, civil litigation and wills.

Mr. Martino graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1989 and was admitted to the New Jersey bar in the same year. He established his Lakewood practice, The Law Offices of Salvatore Martino, LLC, in January 2009. His solo practice concentrated in the areas of personal injury, workers' compensation, municipal court and general litigation.

It has yet to be determined what venues Mr. Cherkos and Mr. Martino will be assigned.
