David Greene Writing Chapters for Workers’ Compensation Manual

10.29.15

Weber Gallagher Partner David G. Greene, Co-Chair of Weber Gallagher’s Workers’ Compensation Group, is an author of several chapters of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Practice & Procedure manual that is considered the “Bible” on workers’ compensation law in Pennsylvania.

Peter J. Weber, a founding Partner of Weber Gallagher, wrote several chapters of the book and participated in or led the planning committee for three decades.  His information on how to calculate third-party subrogation matters has been used by judges around the state.  He passed the torch to Greene last year.

For the past 16 years, Greene has been teaching the “Tough Problems in Workers’ Compensation” course for Pennsylvania Bar Institute.  “When I started at Weber Gallagher, Peter was my supervising Partner and mentor,” Greene said. “I am honored that PBI is letting me follow in Peter’s role.”

The Practice & Procedure manual comes out every other year and about 1,400 copies are sold each time it is published.

Greene and Weber spoke earlier in October at the Fall Section Meeting of the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Law Section meeting.  Greene’s panel was entitled, “Top 10 WC Cases of the Last 100 Years – Why They are Still Important Today.”  Weber’s panel was an update of recent developments in workers’ compensation cases.
