Weber Gallagher Partner Lynne Gold-Bikin Achieves the Mark of Teaching 1,000 Attorneys at the Family Law Institute

06.14.16

Weber Gallagher Partner Lynne Z. Gold-Bikin has taught at the National Family Law Trial Institute in Houston for 26 years. In late May, when she completed her teaching in the one-week course, the number of attorneys she has instructed there totaled more than 1,000. Her courses have included the subjects of custody litigation, how to use expert witnesses, the role of psychological testing, understanding business valuation and how to improve your courtroom presence.

The Houston Institute is considered one of the premiere law courses in the country for trial advocacy.   Attorneys are taught how to try family law cases and cross examine experts who testify in these cases including custody evaluators and business appraisers.

Despite a foot injury, Gold-Bikin taught this year and received this note from one of her students, “Your mobility may have been limited by crutches, but you were nothing short a legal tour de force. Thank you very much for your constructive feedback and words of encouragement. They really meant a lot to me.”

Gold-Bikin is a nationally renowned family law attorney who has frequently appeared on the major networks and has been quoted in prominent newspapers and magazines discussing domestic issues. She has won numerous awards and literally wrote the book on divorce law in 1994 when her "Divorce Practice Handbook" was published. Her awards include 50 Best Business Women in Pennsylvania, KYW Women of Achievement Award and the Pennsylvania Honor Roll of Women Award. In 2014, Gold-Bikin received the Eric Turner Memorial Award from the Family Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association in honor of her 40 years of exceptional work and her teaching others in the field.
