David Greene Serving on Bench Bar Committee

10.11.16

Philadelphia, PA – October 12, 2016 – Weber Gallagher Partner David G. Greene will attend the first official meeting of the new Workers’ Compensation Bench Bar Committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association this week in Mechanicsburg, PA.  Greene was appointed to the Committee in 2014 when it was tasked with coming up with recommendations in the areas of practice and procedure, WCAIS and mediation. As a result of positive feedback about the Committee’s work, the Workers’ Compensation Section of the PBA amended its bylaws to give the Committee permanent standing.  This week’s meeting is set up to define what issues regarding improving the practice of workers’ compensation will be addressed during the 2016-2017 session.

Greene, Co-Chair of Weber Gallagher’s Workers’ Compensation Group, is also author of several chapters of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Practice & Procedure manual that is considered the “Bible” on workers’ compensation law in Pennsylvania.

In his practice, Greene counsels employers, insurance companies and third-party administrators on how to best manage their Pennsylvania workers' compensation claims and works closely with his clients to provide appropriate risk management advice, whether that involves litigation or non-litigation services. Greene taught the "Tough Problems in Workers' Compensation" course for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute for more than 15 years before his work on the “Bible.”
