Mirabile Ends Successful Term as Montgomery Bar Association President

03.17.17

Norristown, PA – March 17, 2017 – Weber Gallagher Partner Carolyn R. Mirabile recently completed her term as the 86th President of the Montgomery Bar Association.  The Association is the third large Bar in Pennsylvania with more than 2,000 members.

Although she faced many challenges such as, the threat of tax on legal services and discounted online legal service providers, she was able to accomplish a lot. Her Presidential Project, which focused on rebranding the Bar’s Lawyer Referral Service, was honored at the Conference of County Bar Leaders in February 2017 and won statewide recognition for improving the legal profession, access to justice and community. The project involved participation from the Board of Directors, the Legal Access Committee and Bar staff to revitalize and rebrand the Legal Access/Modest Means Project to provide quality legal services to the community and assist young lawyers in building their practices.

Additionally, through new enforcement efforts, the Bar Association has collected over $22,515 in non-dues revenue in the first few months of the new project being in place. Mirabile’s year as President also saw record attendance at many Montgomery Bar functions and strengthened the relationship with the Montgomery County Bench.
