Philadelphia, PA – October 2, 2017 – Alexander W. Ross, Jr., who concentrates his legal practice on complex personal injury cases and was a founding partner of Rakoski & Ross, P.C., joins Weber Gallagher this week in the firm’s Mount Laurel office. Ross, who joins as a Partner in the General Liability Group, has practiced civil litigation defense law in South Jersey for more than 35 years.
Ross specializes in all aspects of civil litigation, arbitration and jury trials along with handling appellate cases. His concentration is in general negligence liability, insurance law and employment law. He has provided counsel in matters involving construction and workplace injuries, product liability, federal tort claims, unfair competition and wrongful discharge. He also handles matters in workers’ compensation subrogation.
He represents individuals, insurance carriers, self-insureds and small, mid-size and large corporations. He has appeared numerous times before the New Jersey Superior Court, Law Division, Appellate Division and New Jersey Supreme Court, as well as federal courts in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He has also argued before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Ross is a frequent speaker on general liability legal issues and has numerous writings on the subject.
Ross is a graduate of Villanova University School of Law, and he received a B.A. degree, sum cum laude, from Dickinson College. He also attended Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Bologna, Italy, from 1975-1976.
He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and to the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, District of New Jersey, Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.
