05.15.18

Bedminster, NJ – April 30, 2018 – Weber Gallagher is pleased to welcome five medical malpractice attorneys to the firm, led by new Partner Kenneth Brown.   Brown joins Weber Gallagher from Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker, LLP along with Associates Peter Espey and Jennifer Suh. Brown and the new associates will add a New Jersey presence to the firm’s Medical Malpractice team.

“Expanding our medical malpractice group gives us a strong hold in the healthcare industry in New Jersey and bolsters our already established Pennsylvania practice. For several decades Ken and his team have built a reputation that is beyond reproach in the medical malpractice field and they will be a valuable asset to both our clients and the practice,” said Paul M. Fires, Chair of Weber Gallagher.

Brown defends a multitude of medical professionals in medical malpractice actions and before New Jersey state licensing boards. Brown has argued multiple cases before the New Jersey Supreme Court.   He is certified as a Civil Trial Attorney for the Supreme Court of New Jersey.  His experience also includes representing a generic manufacturer in multistate litigation involving strict liability, failure to warn and fraud in the Reglan/Metoclopramide litigation. He has also represented parties in the Gadolinium and Pelvic Mesh mass tort litigation.

The firm’s additions are part of the strategic growth initiatives Weber Gallagher has been implementing.  In January 2018, the firm opened its tenth office in New Castle, DE and brought on Partner Stephen F. Dryden.  Dryden also has extensive multi-district litigation experience for retail drug concerns.  The firm has been bolstering its practices to meet the expanding needs of our client base in the pharmaceutical industry.

Fires added, “We continue to identify groups that can benefit from our unique, cost-effective structure, which supports its partners in delivering the highest quality legal services.”

“Joining Weber Gallagher is an exciting opportunity for me and team,” said Brown.  “Weber Gallagher focuses on and highly values individualized client relationships and provides the comprehensive resource and technology platform needed to service those relationships.”

Espey defends health care professionals and medical groups in medical malpractice matters. Suh’s experience includes representing clients in the areas of medical, nursing and legal malpractice, insurance defense and general liability.
