New York, NY – June 18, 2018 – Weber Gallagher is pleased to welcome six retail defense attorneys to the firm, led by new Partner Scott W. Bermack. Bermack joins Weber Gallagher from Ropers Majeski Kohn Bentley along with Partners Lisa M. Fitzgerald and Robert A. Suarez and Associates Samantha Aster, Alexander J. Papa and Shawn D. Wagner. Bermack and his team will reside in the firm’s New York City office, which recently moved from the Chrysler Building to its new Time Square location at 1500 Broadway.

Bermack will serve as the Managing Partner for the firm’s New York office and will also lead the firm’s retail industry team.
Bermack represents clients in civil claims involving product liability, construction and labor law, premises liability, trucking liability and personal injury and professional and medical negligence. He litigates commercial disputes involving land use, banking, shareholder rights and fiduciary breach. His clients include national retailers, trucking companies, automobile manufacturers, medical and legal professionals, self and large retention insureds and liability insurance carriers.

Suarez focuses his practice in the areas of maritime, multimodal and commercial litigation. His clients include ship owners and operators, terminal operators and classification societies. Aster focuses her practice in the areas of premises, professional and product liability defense. Papa focuses his practice in the area of general liability and has experience defending civil claims including, construction law, labor law, product liability and premises liability. Wagner represents clients in premises liability, professional liability, product liability, trucking liability, construction and labor law.
