Paul Fires Named Lawyer of the Year Workers’ Compensation Law – Employers by Best Lawyers

Philadelphia, PA – August 15, 2019Paul M. Fires, a Partner of Weber Gallagher, has been named Lawyer of the Year – Workers’ Compensation Law- Employers, 2020 by Best Lawyers. This award is based on an extensive peer-review survey in which tens of thousands of leading attorneys confidentially evaluate their professional peers.

At Weber Gallagher, Fires is Co-Chair of the firm’s Workers’ Compensation Practice and Firm Chair Emeritus. Fires counsels businesses and insurance companies on managing workers’ compensation risk.  His practice also includes assisting clients in cost-effective exposure reduction strategies, coordination of corporate workers’ compensation policies, serving as a consultant and witness in cases involving errors and omissions insurance policies, preparing comprehensive analysis and reports and providing testimony when needed to support his clients. Fires deploys universal best business practices to help his clients with both litigation and non-litigation services.

Fires has previously been recognized by the US News and World Report/Best Lawyers Philadelphia Lawyer of the Year for Workers’ Compensation – Employers, 2014; he has been listed in the Best Lawyers in the area of Workers’ Compensation – Employers every year since 2007; and he was named “2019 Best Law Firm Mentor” by The Legal Intelligencer.

Fires earned his law degree from George Washington University Law School in 1985. He graduated from the University of Miami cum laude in 1982.
