11.19.21

Philadelphia, November 19, 2021 — Weber Gallagher is pleased to announce that partners Theodore M. Eder and Thomas W. Park, and associate James M. French, have joined the firm’s Litigation practice, residing in the New York office.

“Bringing this team on board—and adding litigation capabilities to our New York and New Jersey offices—highlights, once again, our strong and continued commitment to serving and defending our clients across all of their locations,” said Andrew L. Indeck, chairman of Weber Gallagher. “This exceptional group of attorneys has a deep and diverse skill set that is aligned with the firm and our clients’ needs. Not only does this bolster our litigation practice, but it also expands the firm’s labor and employment, asbestos, toxic tort, commercial transportation, workers' compensation, and product premises liability offerings.”

With more than 20 years of experience, Theodore Eder is a litigation powerhouse. He has led multiple federal wage and hour class action cases in the Southern District of New York and sat first chair for more than 30 asbestos cases through jury selection. Additionally, Eder has handled products liability, medical device, breach of warranty, plaintiff personal injury, commercial litigation, and various other cases.

Thomas Park focuses his practice on workers' compensation litigation defense and counseling. He is a formidable civil litigator, with a strong skill set, conducting and defending depositions, arguing substantive motions, settlement conferences, trials, and various other court-mandated appearances. He has represented some of the largest self-insured companies and insurance carriers before the New York Workers' Compensation Board.

A rising star in the legal industry, James French is a litigator concentrating his practice on workers' compensation defense. He has extensive experience drafting successful appeals, responses, and memoranda of law and has attended thousands of workers’ compensation hearings and depositions. James has also managed patent and trademark matters for small and large entity clients as a USPTO registered patent attorney with a strong background in electrical engineering and computer science.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to join such a well-respected firm that provides us with the platform to defend our clients at the highest level,” said Theodore Eder. “When we discovered how aligned our experience and approach are with the firm’s, it was clear that this would be a symbiotic relationship for us, Weber Gallagher, and the clients we proudly serve.”

The addition of this team expands Weber Gallagher’s New York office by nearly 40%. These attorneys will practice in both New York and New Jersey, assuaging the increasing demand for Weber Gallagher’s services and reflective of the firm’s commitment to our clients’ needs in the area.
