Philadelphia, May 9, 2022 — Weber Gallagher proudly names partners Scott W. Bermack and Robert D. MacMahon as the firm’s General Liability Practice Group Co-Chairs. Bermack is based in Weber Gallagher’s New York office and MacMahon is based in the firm’s Philadelphia office.
Bermack and MacMahon take the helm of an impactful and diverse team of peer-recognized thought-leaders on the cutting edge of legal developments and litigation strategies. The group handles a wide range of general liability matters, including claims involving construction defects, premises liability, property damage, fire loss, liquor liability/dram shop actions, civil actions arising out of the criminal conduct of third persons, defamation/libel and mass tort actions.

Bermack represents clients in civil claims involving product liability, construction and labor law, premises liability, trucking liability and personal injury and professional negligence. He litigates commercial disputes involving land use, banking, shareholder rights and fiduciary breach.
Bermack’s clients include national retailers, trucking companies, automobile manufacturers, medical and legal professionals, self and large retention insureds and liability insurance carriers. He also has experience in prosecuting and defending insurance coverage suits against carriers and insureds. He has also defended federal class action lawsuits brought under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
With more than 30 years of experience, MacMahon focuses his practice on premises liability, dram shop defense, construction, commercial carrier litigation, inadequate security defense, and products liability matters.
MacMahon’s clients include promoters, entertainment companies, nightclubs, concert halls, venues, arenas, bars, restaurants, taverns, retail establishments, janitorial service providers, malls. He provides clients with counsel, training, and advice on risk assessments and avoidance and litigation management. MacMahon has conducted more than 50 jury and bench trials in significant exposure cases.
