Philadelphia, March 6, 2023 — Weber Gallagher partners, Carolyn R. Mirabile and Lawrence J. "Skip" Persick, have earned 2023 JD Supra Readers’ Choice Awards as Top Authors. In addition, JD Supra recognized two of the firm’s articles that were among the most read in 2022, each covering the topic of family law issues. These Top Read Articles were authored by Mirabile and Persick, respectively: “Cryptocurrency and Divorce: What You Need to Know” and “New Rule in Pennsylvania Effects Children’s Appearances in Custody Proceedings.”

The JD Supra Readers’ Choice Awards recognize the top authors and firms read by C-suite executives, in-house counsel, media, and other professionals across the JD Supra platform based on visibility, thought leadership, and engagement. In total, across all 31 categories, JD Supra recognized the excellence and achievement of 303 authors selected from over 70,000 who publish their work on the platform.

JD Supra delivers need-to-know legal and business content to professionals in all industries in daily email digests, via more than 100 proprietary social feeds, on mobile platforms, to partner websites, and as news across the web.

Mirabile concentrates her practice on all aspects of divorce, support, custody, property distribution, and drafting of marital settlement agreements and prenuptial agreements. She assists her clients in navigating complex family law issues such as child support, division of assets, protection from abuse orders, alternative family issues, alimony, grandparents' rights, cohabitation agreements, alternative family issues, and more. As an experienced trial attorney, Mirabile has handled hundreds of complex family law cases in the Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.

Persick focuses his practice on adoption, divorce, custody, support, dependency, and guardianship. His experience also includes cases dealing with school discipline and the termination of parental rights. Persick has represented the prevailing party in many notable cases including a Berks County decision granting compensatory and punitive damages on tort claims raised in the context of a divorce action. The case is believed to be one of the few decisions, if not the only one, granting this relief.
