Lawrence J. “Skip” Persick Appointed Pro Bono Chair at Weber Gallagher

Philadelphia, May 26, 2023 — Weber Gallagher is pleased to announce that family law partner, Lawrence J. "Skip" Persick, has been appointed as the new Chair of Pro Bono, effective May 15, 2023.

With more than 37 years of legal experience, Persick has demonstrated a strong commitment to pro bono work throughout his career. In this new role, Persick will oversee the firm's pro bono initiatives, ensuring that the firm's resources and legal expertise are used to support those who cannot afford legal services. Persick will lead our Pro Bono committee and work to identify pro bono opportunities, recruit and train attorneys to participate in pro bono work and manage the firm's relationships with pro bono clients.

The torch is being passed by the firm’s employment law managing partner, Tracy Walsh. Walsh has led Weber Gallagher's Pro Bono efforts since 2017. Throughout her tenue as Pro Bono Chair, Walsh worked with our partners to develop relationships with various organizations across our office locations. Walsh was devoted to encouraging her colleagues to get involved and provide much-needed assistance to those of limited means in their respective jurisdictions. Walsh’s dedication is evidenced by a nearly 630% increase of Pro Bono participation during tenure as Pro Bono Chair. Under Walsh's guidance, the firm successfully increased the visibility of our pro bono efforts and left a lasting impact on the communities we serve. Walsh will continue to serve the firm and contribute to the firm’s growth in her roles on the Board of Directors and as Managing Partner of the Employment Group,.
