Matthew Laver Awarded Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel Young Lawyer Award

Matthew Laver, Associate in the General Liability Group at Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby, LLP, was awarded the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel (PADC) Young Lawyer Award.

The award is given annually to a young lawyer who best exemplifies the qualities of professionalism and dedication as defense counsel in the practice of law and in the promotion of the highest ideals of justice in the community.
The PADC is a professional organization for attorneys practicing in tort and insurance law. The PADC is recognized as a major advocate and participant in pro bono programs, in professional development, and in assisting in efforts to improve the court system.

Laver devotes his practice to representing clients in general liability matters, and specializes in defending clients in professional liability matters. Prior to joining Weber Gallagher, Laver was a law clerk to the Honorable Pamela Pryor Dembe, President Judge, Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, and the Honorable Albert W. Sheppard, Jr., Commerce Program, Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
