Met East Students Spend a Day with Weber Gallagher

06.19.14

Seven students from Met East High School in Camden, some who are interested in fields related to law, spent the day (June 18) with attorneys and staff from the law firm Weber Gallagher. The group toured the Constitution Center in Philadelphia with attorneys and then came to the firm for a luncheon and discussion.

Many of the speakers, including Weber Gallagher Partners, associates and staff members, were the first generation in their families to attend college.  They discussed how they made the steps from high school to higher education and to their careers. The students talked about their internships and aspirations.

Met East students attending yesterday’s program were Myriah Hawkins, Debra Garcia, Katherine Jacquez, Alexa Gonzalez, Aariona Johnson, Emon Farrish and Akilah Igwe along with Dina Smith, the school guidance counselor.

Weber Gallagher is excited about working with Camden City Schools.  Earlier this year, the firm donated 40 computers and software to the district.
