On the medical malpractice front, Ryan works with hospitals and health systems, as well as physicians, ambulance companies, physician groups, and EMS providers, defending them against claims of catastrophic claims of injury.
General liability is an area in which Ryan has a variety of experience, including handling premises liability matters, such as fall-down injuries, for businesses both large and small. He also possesses a strong understanding of the intricacies of D&O liability, as well as commercial and dram shop liability. Ryan is also well versed in municipal liability, and he has a great deal of experience with the attendant immunities and applying them to the client’s advantage.
Ryan has legal malpractice knowledge and experience, as it pertains to litigation and transactional claims.
Additionally, Ryan provides legal advice to court-appointed Guardians and represents them in Orphans’ Court.
In 2022, Ryan was recognized by the publisher of the Pennsylvania edition of Super Lawyers magazine as a "Rising Star," an honor given to the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in the Commonwealth. In 2023, Ryan was appointed to serve on Law360’s Pennsylvania Editorial Advisory Board.

Secured dismissal on behalf of home builder who was alleged to have damaged utilities while performing foundation work.
Obtained dismissal of a large home builder in a hybrid commercial liability/wrongful death lawsuit, using affidavits to highlight weaknesses in the plaintiffs' theory of liability and undermine their expert's opinions.
