Our esteemed Regional Practice Group Leaders are Catherine De Angelis in New Jersey, Lisa Fitzgerald in New York, Michael Garcia in Miami, Stephen Dryden in New Castle, Travis McElhaney in Pittsburgh, and Ryan McBride in Scranton. General Liability Co-Managing Partner, Jennifer Shorr will also lead the Philadelphia office. In their roles, these talented individuals will help spearhead the group's strategic direction, foster professional development opportunities for other members, and cultivate a culture of innovation and excellence within their respective teams. This group of leaders will report to the general liability practice co-chairs, Jennifer Shorr and Scott Bermack.

The general liability practice handles a wide range of general liability matters, including claims involving construction defects, premises liability, property damage, fire loss, liquor liability/dram shop actions, civil actions arising out of the criminal conduct of third persons, defamation, libel and mass tort actions.

Catherine De Angelis
Catherine is the regional practice group leader for New Jersey. In her practice, she focuses on all aspects of insurance defense litigation in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Her experience includes handling cases involving all types of litigation such as premises and automobile liability, construction and product defect, environmental and toxic tort, contract disputes, professional liability, property damage, collections, and coverage actions.
Jennifer Shorr
Jennifer is the regional practice group leader for the Philadelphia office. She is also the Co-Managing Partner for the group. Jennifer has nearly 30 years of experience defending hundreds of high exposure personal injury cases across New Jersey and Pennsylvania state and federal courts. Jennifer represents corporate clients whose businesses span a range of industries, including national supermarkets, restaurants, retail stores, shopping malls, airlines, department stores, banks, trucking companies, and other commercial property owners.
Lisa Fitzgerald
Lisa is the regional practice group leader for the New York office. Her practice entails, defending clients in cases involving product liability, construction and labor law, professional liability, premises liability, commercial litigation and subrogation matters.
Michael Garcia
Michael is the regional practice group leader for the Miami office. He has more than 24 years of civil litigation experience defending matters involving premises liability, personal injury, general liability, professional negligence, and wrongful death claims. Additionally, Michael serves as local counsel to numerous nationwide retailers.
Stephen Dryden
Stephen is the regional practice group leader for Delaware. In his practice, he defends corporations, businesses of all sizes and insurance companies in general liability litigation matters. His clients include national car rental companies, restaurant chains, big box stores and retail drug stores.
Travis McElhaney
Travis is the regional practice group leader for the Pittsburgh office. His practice experience includes litigating various insurance subrogation matters including automobile, property, PIP/Med Pay, uninsured/underinsured motorist, and workers’ compensation claims.
Ryan McBride
Ryan is the regional practice group leader for the Scranton office. His practice includes handling a wide range of high-level defense actions, and he is focused on professional liability — including medical malpractice and legal malpractice — and general liability matters, including premises liability, products liability, and municipal liability.
