Pennsylvania and New Jersey Release 2019 Average Weekly Wage Rates

Pennsylvania and New Jersey have released 2019 workers’ compensation pay rates based on the statewide average weekly wage.

The Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, Bureau of Workers' Compensation issued the following notice: Based upon the Statewide Average Weekly Wage, as determined by the Department of Labor & Industry, the maximum compensation payable under the Workers' Compensation Act shall be $1,049.00 per week for injuries occurring on and after January 1, 2019.

The 2019 New Jersey Workers' Compensation Rate Schedule has also been released. Click here for the rates. As you can see, the minimum temporary total disability rate has been raised to $246.00 (up from $241.00) and the maximum rate raised to $921.00 (up from $903.00).
