Weber Gallagher Elects Eight New Partners

Philadelphia, September 5, 2023 – Weber Gallagher is pleased to announce the appointment of eight new partners, effective September 1, 2023. These individuals represent a diverse array of practice areas within the firm.

The newly elected partners include:

Meghan Adkins defends manufacturers, corporations, and insurance companies in general liability litigation, including claims involving product liability, construction defects, and premises liability. Meghan also represents insurance carriers and self-insureds in subrogation matters throughout Pennsylvania, including automobile and property claims.

James R. Bucilla II represents third-party administrators, self-insured employers, and global insurance carriers in Pennsylvania workers’ compensation matters. Working to provide clients with actionable advice, James delivers education and practical strategies clients can use to reduce claim exposure and manage risk. His clients include retail establishments, transportation companies, manufacturers, and food and beverage companies.

Maureen Horgan focuses her practice on handling matters in major litigation areas, including the defense of individuals and commercial entities in premises liability matters, such as fall-down injuries, for businesses both large and small. She also handles professional liability matters, including medical malpractice, legal malpractice, and other professional liability matters involving real estate and construction, in complex professional liability cases. She also has experience with dram shop liability matters.

Charley T. Monroe focuses his practice on workers’ compensation defense. He represents multinational retail corporations, restaurants, transportation companies, healthcare facilities, and third-party administrators. Involved in all aspects of litigation, Charley works with clients from the inception of a claim, handles hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations. 

Walter J. O’Brien defends businesses, corporations, and insurance companies in matters throughout the State of Delaware. His wide-ranging experience includes handling commercial real estate, construction defect, toxic tort, premises liability, and motor vehicle cases. He has tried matters in every trial court of the State of Delaware, including the Delaware Superior Court and the Delaware Court of Chancery, and further has been successful on appeal to the Delaware Supreme Court.

Robert C. Sanfilippo represents clients in insurance defense matters including construction site accidents, product liability, personal injury, and automobile liability matters. Managing cases from inception to resolution, Robert has a breadth of experience representing clients before state and federal courts across New Jersey and New York.

Jennifer Suh focuses her practice in medical malpractice defense. Jennifer’s experience includes representing clients in the areas of medical, nursing and legal malpractice, insurance defense and general liability. She has also represented clients in personal injury and commercial litigation matters.

Shawn Wagner defends businesses and insurers in various personal injury and property damage cases involving premises and municipal liability, motor vehicle accidents, trucking liability, dram shop claims, school, sports, and recreational torts, property damage claims, and intentional torts. He also defends claims pursuant to the New York State Labor Law for construction related accidents as well as representing clients pursuing insurance coverage claims. Additionally, Shawn handles civil claims involving product liability.
