Krista is an experienced litigator defending clients in various insurance defense related issues, including general liability, subrogation, premise liability, and employment matters. Additionally, Krista manages the defense of motor vehicle accidents, construction defects, medical negligence, and product liability.

Handling all phases of litigation up to and including trial, Krista works with her clients to develop defense strategies, negotiate settlements, attend alternative dispute resolutions, and interpret contract and lease language to provide the most cost-effective way to handle a case. Krista has successfully argued cases before the Supreme Court of Delaware, the District Court of Delaware, and the Appellate Court.

Krista’s experience includes working as an Assistant City Solicitor, representing the City of Wilmington and its officers in discrimination and civil rights actions. She has managed employment and labor-related matters, including those before the EEOC, the Delaware Department of Labor and Public Employment Relations Board, and arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association. Krista also defended the City against unfair labor practice charges, negotiated collective bargaining agreements, revised, and updated personnel policies, and performed preventive counseling in all City departments

Cases and Experience

Secured a motion to dismiss on a case involving uninsured motorist coverage for a collision involving a horse and buggy.

Secured a defense verdict for a sexual orientation case after a five-day jury trial in the Superior Court of Delaware. The Jury ruled in favor of our client on one count of discrimination.
