Michael F. McKeon focuses his practice on the defense of complex personal injury, product liability, insurance coverage, and commercial litigation matters. He represents insurers, employers, manufacturers, retailers, and other business entities in high exposure claims in state and federal courts. He routinely manages litigation from inception through trial and appeal and is known for his strategic approach to case development, early risk assessment, and practical problem solving.

Michael has broad trial and appellate experience and has obtained numerous defense verdicts, summary judgments, and dismissals in jury and non-jury matters involving catastrophic injury claims, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, fire loss, and alleged product defects. He has served as lead and co-counsel in jury trials across multiple jurisdictions, including representing a national retailer as pro hac vice counsel in Connecticut, and has defended clients in cases involving alleged multimillion dollar personal injury and property damage exposure. His experience includes prevailing on dispositive motions in complex negligence and product liability matters and successfully arguing appeals resulting in the dismissal of significant claims. He is known for his thorough preparation, command of the factual record, and practical approach to guiding clients through complicated litigation toward favorable outcomes.

A substantial portion of Michael’s practice has involved the defense of national and international manufacturers and retailers in complex product liability litigation. He has defended thousands of claims arising from alleged product related injuries and has served as local and regional counsel in coordinated and mass tort proceedings. His experience includes defending firefighter hearing loss litigation, catastrophic fire loss matters, and claims involving alleged design and manufacturing defects, as well as representing commercial clients in disputes involving contractual and arbitration issues.

Before joining the firm, Michael practiced at a regional litigation firm where he managed a wide portfolio of commercial, insurance, and product liability matters and tried cases to verdict in multiple states. Earlier in his career, he practiced in the litigation department of an international law firm in Washington, D.C., where he handled complex commercial litigation, including civil securities matters and enforcement actions.

In addition to his litigation practice, Michael previously served as a commissioner for Lower Merion Township, PA, where he was involved in municipal governance, land use, public safety, and infrastructure matters, and worked closely with boards, agencies, and community stakeholders on issues affecting public welfare. He remains actively involved in civic and community organizations.
