Weber Gallagher Partner and Pro Bono Leader Lawrence “Skip” Persick Receives Judge Katherine B.L. Platt Award for Mentoring and Volunteerism

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — May 19, 2026 — Weber Gallagher is pleased to announce that Lawrence “Skip” Persick, a Partner in the firm’s Family Law practice and its Pro Bono Leader, has been recognized with the Judge Katherine B.L. Platt Award for Mentoring and Volunteerism by The Doris Jonas Freed American Inn of Court.

Established in 2021, the award honors an Inn member who demonstrates a commitment to mentorship and volunteerism within the organization and the legal profession at large. In selecting recipients, the Executive Board considers contributions such as teaching and instruction, service to the Inn, pro bono work, and efforts to promote civility within the legal profession.

Persick focuses his practice on family law matters, including complex divorce, custody, and support matters. In addition to his active practice, he serves as Weber Gallagher’s Pro Bono Chair, where he plays a key role in advancing the firm’s commitment to community service and access to justice. His leadership and dedication to mentoring colleagues and supporting pro bono initiatives reflect the values recognized by this award.

In accordance with the firm’s commitment to giving back, Weber Gallagher attorneys are encouraged to dedicate a minimum of 25 hours annually to pro bono work. Attorneys assist the elderly, those with disabilities, veterans, homeless individuals, and children. The pro bono program covers a range of services, including guardianship matters, securing veterans’ benefits, and addressing legal needs of unaccompanied minors. In 2025, Weber Gallagher attorneys completed 554 hours of pro bono work.
