Antonio Villa de Rey

Antonio Villa de Rey focuses his practice on defending clients in the maritime and insurance industries. This includes managing cases involving premises liability, automotive, and general liability claims. His practice includes defending several corporate clients, including Fortune 500 companies. Antonio has prior experience litigating personal injury cases on behalf of plaintiffs as well. His past experiences include First Party Property cases on behalf of plaintiffs, along with contractual disputes.

Antonio has been at the forefront of litigation strategies for Florida’s 2023 Tort Reform Act, assisting several industry peers across the state on how to incorporate the new law into their litigation strategy. He was selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2026 and 2027 editions of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch^® in America for Litigation – Environmental and Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants. This accolade recognizes extraordinary lawyers who have been in private practice for less than 10 years in the United States and is based entirely on peer review.

During law school, Antonio participated in Microsoft’s Intellectual Property Law Institute through an invitation from the Hispanic National Bar Association. This is an honorary program for top Intellectual Property students nationwide. Additionally, Antonio was a quarter-finalist in the Manfred Lachs International Moot Court competition for Outer Space Law. He received a CALI-book award in Evidence. Before becoming an attorney, Antonio worked in the beverage and hospitality industry for over a decade, gathering practical and institutional knowledge in business operations. He is a certified Mindfulness Meditation teacher.
