Denise Marra DePekary

Denise serves as Managing Partner of Weber Gallagher’s Coverage Practice, leading a nationally recognized team of attorneys representing insurers in complex coverage, bad faith, and insurance-related litigation matters throughout the country.

Denise counsels and represents insurance companies nationwide in a broad range of coverage matters involving Directors and Officers (D&O), Commercial General Liability (CGL), Errors and Omissions (E&O), Fidelity, Surety, Umbrella, Commercial Auto, Employment Practices Liability (EPLI), first-party property, and first-party liability policies. She is frequently called upon to analyze and resolve complex coverage disputes, advise insurers on high-exposure claims, and defend bad faith actions.

Drawing on more than 30 years litigation experience, Denise provides strategic coverage counsel in matters arising from construction defects, products liability, property damage, personal injury, premises liability, and New York Labor Law claims. She is particularly experienced in navigating sophisticated risk transfer issues, contractual indemnification disputes, and additional insured coverage claims, helping insurers effectively manage and mitigate exposure.

In addition to her coverage practice, Denise has successfully defended insureds and insurers in environmental, asbestos, toxic tort, civil rights, and other complex insurance defense matters. Her combined coverage and litigation background provides clients with practical, results-driven guidance through every stage of the claims and litigation process.
