George Maniatis focuses his practice on insurance coverage litigation, reinsurance disputes, and liability defense. He represents domestic and international insurers, reinsurers, and Fortune 500 companies in complex coverage matters, reinsurance arbitrations, and high-stakes litigation.
George has more than 40 years of experience analyzing insurance and reinsurance coverage issues across a range of policies, including general liability, first-party property, directors and officers (D&O) liability, hull and machinery, cargo, and protection and indemnity insurance. He also advises clients on excess of loss and facultative reinsurance contracts and has successfully defended reinsurance contracts involving asbestos-related bodily injury and environmental property damage.
In addition to his coverage practice, George defends insureds in premises liability, labor law, and construction defect litigation, as well as general liability claims involving environmental, asbestos, and health hazard exposures. He has represented clients in state and federal courts nationwide, handling cases through trial and appeal.
George is also experienced in arbitration, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution, working closely with clients to develop cost-effective strategies to resolve disputes efficiently.
